About us
The FootageWorks Archive consists of more than 50,000 raw unedited breaking news video stories. And, more than 500,000 stand-alone broadcast ready stock video clips.
All of the FootageWorks stock media files, including stock videos and raw news video footage stories were videotaped and recorded on the streets of Los Angeles and in the surrounding suburban communities. Our video archive covers the period of 1984 to 2019.
Our Story Starts in early 1984
FootageWorks Founder, Jay Steinbrecher was a professional helicopter pilot who owned a helicopter company at the Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles, called Citicopters News Service.
